Am Anfang war es der Schatten einer Katze, ungesehen auf einem Bild von Jo Baer, irgendwo im Keller des Museum Ludwig in Köln. Eine Frau stand davor und ich dachte, ohne es zu wissen, an PICASSO. Eine halbe Stunde später und zwei Etagen höher, dann die Lithographie mit dem Lockengesicht von Francoise.

Beyond the cat shadow, and certainly in some areas of my mind free from primarily externally inspired patterns, there was a very certain knowledge that PICASSO always had been an important part of my live. Honestly not so much PICASSO himself, but the direct way his works were present even in the very early time of my childhood. One of the circumstances I partly do forget to think of, when I talk about the influence of art on early child development. But there are remarkable evidences that it is true.*
